It’s quite common to have a large number of pharmaceuticals lying around your home, whether for past or present illnesses, or simply as a preventative measure. The problem is, most medicine cabinets can’t accommodate all of these medications. They can start to pile up, and before you know it, your bathroom is cluttered with various bottles, pill packets, and remedies. If you need to store pharmaceuticals in a storage unit, here are a few tips. 

1. Use drive-up storage.
This will make your life significantly easier. Being able to drive right up to your storage unit is a huge convenience and can save you a lot of trouble. This is the best way to store just about anything, since it minimizes the distance you have to carry things when loading or unloading your car. This is also beneficial if you see yourself visiting the storage unit often to retrieve various medications.

2. Label them clearly.
Make sure your medications are labeled clearly with the medication’s name, use, and expiration date. And make sure you label the box clearly, too. The last thing you want to do is accidentally crush or damage a box filled with expensive prescriptions. 

3. Make sure they’re sealed well.
Before you put them into storage, make sure your pharmaceutical bottles are sealed property. This will ensure that your medications are still functional after being in storage for a few weeks or months.
