If you’re a camping or hiking enthusiast, you’re probably excited that summer is fast approaching! If your gear is located in storage, this means it’s time to pull your equipment out. However, many of us don’t have room to keep our camping gear in our homes. If your camping equipment has to stay in storage over the summer, but you plan to take it out periodically for weekend trips, check out these storage tips to make sure your gear remains in pristine condition.
1. Use drive-up storage.
Since you’ll probably be taking your camping gear out frequently for weekend trips, drive-up storage will provide a short and easy pathway to your belongings. Our storage facility offers plenty of spacious drive up units!
2. Clean your gear before you store it.
Do not, under any circumstances, store dirty gear. Leaving grime on your camping gear can result in mold and deterioration. And if you’ve spent several hundred dollars on said gear, this can be a huge disappointment.
