Packing up your belongings and moving is a giant pain. These six moving supplies will make the process easier and help make sure your items get to your new place safely and efficiently.

1. Plain Newspaper
Traditional newspaper isn’t great, as the ink can rub off onto your belongings. Plain tissue paper is a much safer option.

2. Saran Wrap
If you don’t want to empty your drawers, that’s okay! Just use saran wrap around the entire drawer. As long as the piece isn’t too heavy, you’ll be fine. You can also use saran wrap on jewelry boxes, stereo speakers, and other items that need protection.

3. Bubble Wrap
Not all bubble wrap is created equally. Invest in premium bubble wrap, especially if you’re trying to protect breakables. This bubble wrap will stay inflated for much longer.

4. Small Boxes
Several small boxes are much easier to move than fewer large boxes. Consider a large box filled with books vs. a small box filled with books. The small box will always be easier to move.

5. Packing Tape
Expensive packing tape will have a more secure hold than cheap packing tape. The expensive kind is generally made with stronger materials and has better adhesive. Don’t cut corners in this area.

6. Furniture Covers
These prevent dirt from getting on your furniture. They can also prevent mold!
