When placing artwork in your vehicle, make sure it’s secure and won’t bump and slide around during the trip. While driving, don’t make any sharp or sudden movements. If you’re shipping through a third-party transport company, be sure to ask them about their fine art transport practices.
3. Check on your painting regularly.
Don’t store it and forget it! Check on your painting regularly to make sure it’s in good condition. Watch out for pests, rodents, and moisture that may harm your valuable pieces or sentimental items. Though storage facilities do their very best to prevent those things from occurring, it’s wise to keep an eye on items that are important to you.
